Polari Travel Booking Terms & Conditions
- Passport Details
Please ensure that you give the correct name when booking – once names are given to an airline, if they need to be changed, there is a minimum fee of €130 per change from the airlines. If you do not have a passport, you ust make Polari Travel aware of this to confirm that the airline in question will accept Drivers Licence/National ID card instead of passport. For all European travel, you must hold a valid passport that is in date for al least 3 months after your return date. For long haul travel you must hold a valid passport that is in date for at least 6 months after your return date. If a visa is required, this is the soul responsibility of the person or persons travelling.
- Payment
When making a booking, you must pay the required deposit for the booking to be secured. Full payment must be made at least 6 weeks prior to your departure date, depending on accommodation terms and conditions. If payments are not received on time, Polari Travel reserves the right to cancel the booking.
- Cancellation & Charges
Full cancellation fees will apply to any booking cancelled within eight weeks prior to departure. If you need to make a change to an existing booking, charges incurred will correspond with those imposed by the airlines & hotels involved.
- Refunds
All deposits are non-refundable. Flights must be paid in full by Polari Travel at the time of booking so if your deposit paid does not cover the full cost of your flights you will be liable to pay the balance of the flight costs.
- Travel Insurance
We can book travel insurance for you. This can be added to your final balance when due. If you have a pre-existing medical condition you must ring Health Check on 0818 286 270 to declare your condition otherwise there is no cover for that pre-existing medical condition. If you have a medical claim abroad or need to curtail your trip then you must always contact the Emergency Assistance Company stated in the policy document otherwise your claim may not be covered. If you wish to make an insurance claim post-holiday, Polari Travel will not be liable for handling insurance claims.
- Special Requests
If you have a special request, this must be printed on your booking form or submitted in writing. While we will endeavour to meet your request, we cannot guarantee that it will be confirmed. Polari Travel accepts no liability for failure to comply with a special request & such requests do not form part of the contract.
- The Consumer’s Responsibilities
It is the sole responsibility of the consumer to check all travel documentation as soon as it is furnished to you. If you consider any document to be incorrect, or if you have a query, please notify Polari Travel immediately.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you arrive at your port of departure at the time specified in your travel documents & ensuring you have sufficient time to complete embarkation requirements.
The consumer is restricted by regulation of aircraft carriers with regards to weight, type & contents of baggage which he/she takes on board the aircraft. The consumer shall be responsible for ascertaining any limitations which apply in this regard & shall not present themselves at the port of departure with any prohibited item in their luggage or on his/her person or with items which exceed weight or dimension restrictions which apply. The consumer hereby agrees that he/she shall abide by all instructions or directions given by a staff member of Polari Travel or any crew member of the aircraft carriers’ or vehicles’ staff used in connection with the holiday and hereby agrees to indemnify Polari Travel against any loss or injury suffered or incurred by any other person as a consequence of the consumer’s failure to act in accordance with any such direction or instruction.
It is also the sole responsibility of the consumer to ensure that he/she is in possession of all travel documentation i.e passports, visa’s (where relevant) and that same are in order. The consumer hereby agrees to indemnify Polari Travel for any costs incurred by them, as a consequence of the consumer being denied transportation entry as a consequence of the consumer failing to have their travel documentation or same not being in order.
